Watercolor and Ink Trees, etc.

For this challenge, you will create work from watercolor blots. Check out this Watercolor by Gerard Hendriks.

You can either try to control the ink if you have a specific design in mind or you can just generate some pretty watercolor blobs and let them tell you what they want to be.

  • Create an ink and watercolor painting by using controlled and random painting styles.
  • Express your knowledge of the media through blending and detailing.
  • Design a successful composition through careful consideration of Elements and Principles of design, specifically color theory.

***Be sure to add your details last on a completely dry project in order to create crisp lines.***

A nice tutorial to help you out with wet on wet techniques(the technique you will be using to create color for your work).
